Paradox Brewery is one of my favorite restaurants in the North Country. If you are into craft bears and ciders, enjoy excellent food and appreciate the beauty of the mountains, you should give Paradox Brewery a try.
Paradox is widely known for its craft beer that is brewed from this location in North Hudson, NY. You know the beer is going to be good when there is a window as you walk up to the brewery which showcases the brewery itself with vats, supplies an pallets of beer! During the warmer months, there is plenty of outdoor seating. Whether it is the deck that wraps from the side to back or the spacious beer garden, just the view of the Adirondacks from here is spectacular. Add in fabulous beer/ciders and delicious food, Paradox Brewery is a great location to spend an afternoon or evening. During winter, there is indoor seating inside the brewery restaurant with wide windows that overlook the mountains.
Each time I visit, I get the Paradox Pilsner whereas the new staple for my wife is the Blackberry Cider. I am not an IPA fan but my friends say that this is one of the best IPAs around. The food is also great. For lunch, the smoked turkey sandwich is my go-to meal. For dinner, I can’t say enough good things. The pulled pork is tender and flavorful, the bratwurst on a pretzel roll with bacon-onion jam is a flavor power house and for something you might not think about, try the Frontier Pizza with ‘hot honey’. It is a white garlic sauce pizza with mozzarella, sausage, caramelized onions and fresh jalapenos. I am not a fan of spicy food but wow, this was good.
I can’t say enough good things about Paradox Brewery. It is a beautiful setting, great food and drinks and nestled in the beautiful Adirondacks.
